Whether you’re just starting or looking to take your watercolor game to the next level, having the right tools can make all the difference.
Listed below are some of my favorite watercolor supplies and tools—and they’re organized in categories for those who are just starting to paint to those who are interested in trying something totally different.
I’ve used each one of these tools in some capacity for a Mercy Creates art collection, so trust—you’re getting the best of the best. Some of the links are affiliate links which means that if you make a purchase, Mercy Creates may earn a small commission from it. This helps keep the business moving and designing colorful pieces that create Christ-centered conversations in your home.
***Note: brushes are not listed below as they’re kind of like sunglasses—everyone has a favorite pair, but what works for you might not work for me. Bristle type (squirrel, acrylic, synthetic, etc.) and shape (round, flat, angled, etc.) are all factors to consider, but finding the right brush for you is going to take trial and error. I recommend starting with a large and small flat, round, and angled brush, then adding other shapes as you become more comfortable with the paints and paper.
