15 Bible Verses for Your Christmas Cards

December 7, 2023

Fifteen Bible Verses to write in your Christmas card this year.

A Gallup article stated that over 90% of Americans say they have a very positive or positive reaction when receiving personal letters and cards.

And while Christmas is joy-filled, bright, exciting, and busy, a lot of people are dealing with the exact opposite: a different Gallup article revealed that “Currently, 17% of U.S. adults report experiencing significant loneliness ‘yesterday,’ projecting to an estimated 44 million people.”

So if you’re in a position to send a Christmas card this year… do it.

We don’t know the positive ripple effect a Christmas card can have on someone’s life. That folded piece of paper can share the hope of Jesus Christ. On the inside or back of your card, simply add one of these verses:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.” —Isaiah 9:6 (Shortened)

“His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” —Isaiah 9:6

“You shall call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” —Matthew 1:21

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” —Luke 2:14

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” —John 3:16

“God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.” —1 John 5:11

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” —John 1:5

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” —John 1:14

“The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 6:23

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” —James 1:17

“Every good and perfect gift is from above.” —James 1:17 (shortened)

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him.” —Romans 15:13

“For with God, nothing shall be impossible.” —Luke 1:37

“The kindness and love of God our Savior appeared.” —Titus 3:5

“In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.” —John 1:4

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” —John 1:5

“And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.” —John 1:14

You don’t have to go to JC Penney’s—buy a small pack of cards from Amazon.

You don’t have to get writer’s block—”I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, filled with good food, good rest, and good laughs.” Or ask Chat GPT to write the message for you.

You don’t have to find a USPS to buy stamps—you can order them online at USPS, Costco, or Walmart.

You can do it, Friend.

With over ten years of experience in the creative industry, I’ve learned how to design work that is true to Scripture and pretty enough that I would hang it on my own walls!

Since then, I’ve created over 250 watercolor paintings, published a Psalms-inspired calendar sold in major retailers, and helped Christian artists grow purpose-driven businesses through honest coaching, tools, and workshops.

And today… I want to use it all of that to help women like you live more intentionally—with art that tells the truth, studies that deepen your faith, and creative tools that turn your ideas into impact.

What happens when you combine graphic design, fine art, marketing, and a love of theology?

A business that's both beautiful and biblically rooted—made for the woman who loves the “meat” of God's Word.
