because it’s not meant for everyone. God worked in your life in a very purposeful and specific way, and this service tries to capture that unique moment.
This is an investment in creating a legacy piece that not only holds the beauty + truth found in Scripture but also reminds you and everyone who gazes at it that God is present.
In 10–12 weeks, a watercolor painting will arrive at your doorstep—matched to your home's aesthetic with a passage meaningful to you—ready for you to display.
The custom art service is different than anything else I offer—
Mat and frame can be added to your legacy painting for an additional cost. I'll research frames that would best match your painting and aesthetic, so you have options to choose from. You'll receive the painting installed with hardwire, so the only task you have to complete is "Hang art on wall."
A digital workbook will be created for your art, so you can share its significance with anyone who sees it.
It's a record of the seeds planted, watered, and reaped through a conversation over an art piece, and you have lifetime access to this workbook.
We'll work together in creating a painting that you'll love for years to come. You choose the colors, style, and words—and it can match something you already own (a throw pillow, curtains, etc.). And just in case you're not into surprise... sample paintings can be created, so you have a better idea of what your legacy art will look like.
But this is a cheap and cluttered way to hide god's word in your heart.
It only takes a week for it to start falling from your mirror, the edges to rip, the stains and dirt to discolor it…
And then you're left with nice words in the trash.
With Legacy Art, those words are varnished and protected with glass (or plexiglass), so you never become embarrassed over folded, torn, ripped, and dirty paper.
Which lets you use that extra budget money on a special treat #Girlmath, but now you have to print the art. Do you have the right paper? Enough ink? Is there a spare frame around?
Less expensive, but you're now paying with time and energy.
👋 You wouldn't be the only one with "To be framed" stacks of paper... It's not pleasant, and honestly, it stresses me out. I'll stare at the files and pieces and remember how I just don't have enough time.
I don't like being shamed by my "Not yet done" list, so let me do this for you.
But how often have you done that only to become discontent with it just a few short weeks later?
Because it wasn’t you. It wasn’t your story. It's a short-term solution to a problem, and you end up spending more money in the long run because of it.
Legacy Art is you, God's Word, and God's working in your life. Something I can promise you’ll never get tired of remembering.
let's frame those expectations right quick—
You want to be part of every step, decision, and brushstroke in the process.
You want something to arrive in 2–10 days.
You want an exact replica of something another artist has created or something different than my style.
Your budget for a custom project is less than $200.
You understand the value of custom artwork and the meaning it carries.
You want to take control of your home decor and have it point to the Gospel.
You know and appreciate my artistic style.
You want an all-in-one done-for-you painting, matting, and framing experience.
All sizes and prices are listed within the questionnaire that you'll receive. You can choose from any of the standard sizes, square sizes, and if you need something larger, I'm able to paint up to 40".
If this is in reference to something that I've already created (look at the paintings within the Mercy Creates Shop for reference), then yes.
If this is in reference to something that someone else has created, then no. I will not copy another artist's work or reproduce anything copyrighted.
You can request a "proof" before artwork is created. You will be given three options and choose from those three of what your final artwork will look like.
Painting proofs are an additional cost and optional.
Yes! You can write exactly what you want in the questionnaire. You are responsible for spelling and grammar, so please write exactly how you want it on your painting.
Yes! Please note which painting and which size in the questionnaire. "Oversized" charges may apply.
Then youmight need to find a different artist.
Concerning some portraiture and nature scenes, you can view previous work, and if it's not fitting to your tastes, I can refer you to a different artist who might better suit your needs.
All sizes and prices are listed within the questionnaire that you'll receive. A may be more than what's written based on how intricate and detailed your vision is.
If you want a frame, quotes will be provided to you separately. A frame will be an additional cost to your legacy art.
Quotes include labor, shipping, and taxes.
Please note that in the questionnaire and a rush fee will be added to your quote. Fee is calculated by size, artwork, and time frame.
I understand the need for staying in budget—this isn't something I want you to stress over. Please communicate that within your questionnaire, and we can work together in creating something that will fit your budget.
Yes! Payment plans can be made weekly or in installments. Please let me know your preference at the beginning, and we can work together at creating a schedule for payment.
The project must be paid in full before you receive your artwork.
In eight years and over 100 commissions, this has never been an issue... However, custom artwork is not eligible for an exchange credit, refund, or replacement. If you are truly unhappy with your legacy art, you can send it back (at your expense), and we can work together in creating something that better suits your needs.
Once the final payment has been received, your artwork should arrive within seven business days. You'll receive an email with the courier and tracking information.
Shipping costs are automatically built into your quote. Pricing listed within the questionnaire can be considered "out the door," unless otherwise noted.
With bubble wrap, padding, extra-strength cardboard, insurance, and prayers. Art is shipped through USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and you'll receive the tracking information at the time of shipment.
This guide has all the details—pricing, payment options, timelines—so you know exactly what to expect. Think of it like a little “project journal” for your story, so I can paint something that’s not just pretty… but honest—an artwork that reflects God’s faithfulness in your life.
