Our memories are fickle.
… instead of remembering God’s faithfulness: when He smoothed out those details for the multi-vendor event, provided a well-timed meal through a friend, or reconciled that relationship that seemed hopeless.

… instead of remembering God’s faithfulness: when He smoothed out those details for the multi-vendor event, provided a well-timed meal through a friend, or reconciled that relationship that seemed hopeless.
You want to remember God’s faithfulness.
And you want good art.
A moment so impactful that you want to remember forever and ever.
And you especially want art that tells the story of how God sustained you, provided for you, loved you, healed you, saved you, protected you, inspired you …
"I wonder if I still have that sale email in my inbox... I really liked those shoes."
“I can’t believe he said that to me…”
"This project manager is REALLY stressing me out."
"Did I remember to brush my teeth?"
"Why did she look at me like that? Was it my hair? Or dress?"
“I hope I turned the oven off before I left…”
"I should check out AirBnB for a vacation..."
"Why hasn't she responded to my text message yet???"
"I really think Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are for real for real."
"I know I'd walk a thousand miles if I could just see you ... tonight ... "
"I wonder when my next paycheck will be deposited."
Visual moments that transport our minds away from the bad… and to a story of His goodness and faithfulness.
Prints and canvases will represent most but never all of you because they’re specific to that artist and his or her emotions, values, priorities, and story … and they’re mass-produced: created for general topics and stories in order to make money.
But not all art is good art.
And not all art is meant for your walls.
An individualized approach to creating a painting of your story and God’s presence in it.
The custom art package is different than anything else I offer (art prints, art collections, etc.) because it’s not meant for everyone—because God worked in your life in a very purposeful and specific way, and that can’t be replicated for everyone.
This is an investment in creating a legacy piece that not only holds the beauty + truth found in Scripture but also reminds you and everyone that gazes at it that God is present.
In ten weeks, a watercolor painting will arrive at your doorstep—matched to your home's aesthetic with a passage meaningful to you—ready for you to display.
Mat and frame can be added to your legacy painting for an additional cost. I'll research frames that would best match your painting and aesthetic, so you have options to choose from. You'll receive the painting installed with hardwire, so the only task you have to complete is "Hang art on wall."
A digital workbook will be created for your art, so you can share its significance with anyone who sees it.
It's a record of the seeds planted, watered, and reaped through a conversation over an art piece, and you have lifetime access to this workbook.
We'll work together in creating a painting that you'll love for years to come. You choose the colors, style, and words—and it can match something you already own (a throw pillow, curtains, etc.). And just in case you're not into surprise... sample paintings can be created, so you have a better idea of what your legacy art will look like.

After 10 weeks, your painting will arrive nestled in bubblewrap and cardboard. Unpack your piece, hang it on your wall, and remember God's faithfulness in your life.
Answer the intake form. The questions help me understand what inspires you, the look of the piece, and helps flush out your idea.
Once the questionnaire is filled out, I can create a quote specific to your project (including proofs, frames, etc.). Submit a payment, start the countdown, and get ready for those Christ-centered conversations!

It only takes a week for it to start falling from your mirror, the edges to rip, the stains and dirt to discolor it…
And then you're left with nice words in the trash.
👋 My gross sticky notes are off my laptop, and I couldn't tell you what they once said—even though it was important and worth remembering.
With Legacy Art, those words are varnished and protected with glass (or plexiglass), so you never become embarrassed over folded, torn, ripped, and dirty paper.
But now... you have to print the art. Do you have the right paper? Enough ink? Are the printer drivers updated? Is there a spare frame around?
Less expensive, but you're now paying with time and energy.
👋 You wouldn't be the only one with "To be framed" stacks of paper... It's not pleasant, and honestly, it stresses me out. I'll stare at the files and pieces and remember how I just don't have enough time.
I don't like being shamed by my "Not yet done" list, so let me do this for you.
But how often have you done that only to become discontent with it just a few short weeks6 months later?
Because it wasn’t you. It wasn’t your story. It wasn’t personal.
👋 Friend, I’ve got a few canvases from Kirklands that I’m excited to replace because of this exact reason. They were a short-term solution to a problem, and I’m spending more money in the long run because of it.
Legacy Art is not only based on your story (making it personal) but it’s also inspired by God’s Word: unchanging, timeless, and always fresh and alive. God’s Word is living and active, and I promise that you’ll never get tired of the verse you chose for your painting.
A digital log of the conversations and people influenced by your faith.
Home decor that can start Christ-centered conversations in your home.
Your art installed into a frame that matches your aesthetically perfectly.
HOWEVER, you can still download the guide which has all the details and pricing—this allows you to collect your ideas and inspiration in one place and make the process even easier.
When spots become available, you'll be notified first and priority access.

I’m Rachel, and my husband and I have spent 5 years of missions work in an urban apartment complex. Our 1,100-square-foot apartment was important to us… and the 300+ residents we served. During those years, we intentionally used every asset we had to share the Gospel, and now, I’m encouraging women to do the same with their home decor.
As a modern watercolor artist and graphic designer, I thrive in creating pieces that help women have Christ-centered conversations.
We’re committed to designing God-honoring products, helping you grow in the Scriptures, and creating opportunities for you to share His work in your life with others. If your purchase doesn’t exceed those three promises, then we’re going to work with you to make sure it does.
You understand the value of custom artwork and the meaning it carries.
You want to take control of your home decor and have it point to the Gospel.
You want something to arrive in 2 days. The intake process is 1–2 weeks, painting is ~8 weeks, and shipping is ~1 week.
You want to be part of every step, decision, and brushstroke in the process.
You know and appreciate my artistic style.
You want an exact replica of something another artist has created.
You want an all-in-one done-for-you painting, matting, and framing experience.
Your budget for original art is less than $200.

If this is in reference to something that I've already created (look at the paintings within the Mercy Creates Shop for reference), then yes.
If this is in reference to something that someone else has created, then no. I will not copy another artist's work or reproduce anything copyrighted.
You can request a "proof" before artwork is created. You will be given three options and choose from those three of what your final artwork will look like.
Painting proofs are an additional cost and optional.
Yes! You can write exactly what you want in the questionnaire. You are responsible for spelling and grammar, so please write exactly how you want it on your painting.
Yes! Please note which painting and which size in the questionnaire.
Then you'll need to find a different artist.
Concerning some portraiture and nature scenes, you can view previous work, and if it's not fitting to your tastes, I can refer you to a different artist who might better suit your needs.
All sizes and prices are listed within the questionnaire that you'll receive. The questionnaire will list the starting price—your legacy art may be more than what's written based on how intricate and detailed your vision is.
If you want a frame, quotes will be provided to you separately. A frame will be an additional cost to your legacy art.
Quotes include labor, shipping, and taxes.
Please note that in the questionnaire and a rush fee will be added to your quote. Fee is calculated by size, artwork, and time frame.
I understand the need for staying in budget—this isn't something I want you to stress over. Please communicate that within your questionnaire, and we can work together in creating something that will fit your budget.
Yes! Payment plans can be made weekly or in installments. Please let me know your preference at the beginning, and we can work together at creating a schedule for payment.
The project must be paid in full before you receive your artwork.
In seven years and over 100 commissions, this has never been an issue... However, custom artwork is not eligible for an exchange credit, refund, or replacement. If you are truly unhappy with your legacy art, you can send it back (at your expense), and we can work together in creating something that better suits your needs.
Forever and ever. Amen. Your one-time payment is a forever payment and you'll receive any updates made to the study.

if we choose to compromise with our decorations, we might miss an opportunity to share the Gospel with anyone that enters our homes.
So it’s time to stop settling.
🚫 No more 🚫 picking up canvas prints with verses that are out of context.
🚫 No more 🚫 feeling dissatisfied when you look at the walls of your home.
